Shirin and Joseph met on Hinge and sensed an instant connection. “What started as a simple conversation quickly turned into something special,” they explained. “The rest is history.”
After deciding to tie the knot, the couple began the daunting task of planning their special day. They partnered with White Dress Black Tie Events to orchestrate their elegant, intimate wedding celebration. “The planning process both exciting and a bit overwhelming at times, but overall very meaningful,” said Shirin. “We focused on creating a day that felt personal and reflected us as a couple with a timeless design.”
The Details
Shirin and Joseph wanted a simple, intimate celebration. They capped the guest count at 90 and opted not to have a wedding party.
Classic florals from J Morris flowers featured white blooms and greenery. Shirin’s bouquet featured white roses. At the outdoor ceremony, meadow-style arrangements lined the aisle.
Shirin’s floor-length, off-the shoulder Allure Romance gown came from Silk Bridal studio in Virginia. She wore her hair in Hollywood waves styled by Hair by Mimi and accessorized with a borrowed chapel-length veil.

The Day
Shirin and Joseph’s wedding day dawned cloudless. The couple’s outdoor ceremony and indoor reception took place at Breaux Vineyard in Purcellville, Virginia. Cherry trees in full bloom offered a soft backdrop for outdoor portraits, and the couple shared vows in front of rolling mountain scenery.
“Our wedding day was classic and full of joy,” said the couple. “One of our favorite memories was being surrounded by all of our family and friends in one place celebrating with us.”
To set the tone for the reception, the couple shared a Serbian prayer with guests honoring family and heritage.
Family members offered emotional speeches at the reception before guests enjoyed dinner catered by Amphora Catering and a vintage-inspired wedding cake.
Shirin and Joseph sat at a sweetheart table framed by a circular installation decorated with greenery and white florals.
An entertainment team from Zandi Entertainment kept the dance floor full with a mix of Latin music, pop songs and Persian and Serbian songs. The couple called the music a “highlight of the night.”
The happy couple left the venue amid a sparkler exit. Guests took home decorative matches as favors.
Honeymoon Hopes
Shirin and Joseph plan to visit Rome, Florence and Tuscany later this year. They especially look forward to exploring the region’s history and enjoying food, wine and scenery together.
