Friday- Arrival Day

  • If you chose a fun vacation rental or hotel, check in is probably around 3-4pm; just in time to decorate and get the party started! If someone is hosting at their home, schedule a time in advance you’d like everyone to arrive.
  • Have a fun welcome bevvy to set the tone for a fun-filled weekend. A great non-alcoholic option is a dirty-soda bar complete with all the soda options, creamer, syrups and garnishes. Check out this guide for more ideas! A great cocktail is anything that can be prepped in a batch, like sangria or a margarita!

  • After everyone settles in, get ready for a nice dinner. If you’re the one planning this celebratory weekend, make sure to get reservations in advance, especially if it’s a large group and a popular restaurant.
  • If going out on the town is up the bride’s alley, that’s a great after-dinner activity. If not, go back home for a cozy movie night. Check out all those must-see 2000s wedding RomComs.

Saturday-

  • Begin the morning with an at-home breakfast and a group workout class. Depending on where you’re located, there may be an instructor willing to come to your home. If not, there’s always YouTube or a local studio.
  • After you’ve got your movement in for the day, do a seasonal activity.
    • In the summer this could be a pool/beach/lake day.
    • For the fall, check out a pumpkin patch or apple orchard.
    • A great winter option is ice skating, snow tubing, or skiing.
    • In the spring check out a tulip festival, farmers market, or local winery.
  • Other great ideas for any time of year include:
    • Floral arranging class
    • Permanent jewelry party
    • Pottery painting
    • Spa day
  • Spend the second night of your staycation at your accommodation and cook in or have a chef come to you, like this hibachi chef!

  • After dinner, have a craft night, like diamond dotz, embroidery, or jewelry making.
