The Wool Factory is a wedding and event venue located at The Historic Woolen Mills, a
restoration of the 19th-century textile mill in Charlottesville, Virginia. The original industrial
aesthetic has been preserved to form the breathtaking backdrop for its showpiece event hall. In
addition to the architectural details of the mill building, sweeping creek views and access to
outdoor gathering spaces make The Wool Factory a one-of-a-kind event destination. Capable of
hosting 10–570 guests, The Wool Factory is the perfect setting for everything from intimate
corporate dinners to rehearsal dinners to grandiose weddings and celebrations.
With catering led by celebrated Executive Chef Tucker Yoder, The Wool Factory’s in-house
team collaborates closely with clients to create locally sourced, seasonal menus that reflect their
unique event vision. Whether you’re planning a formal dinner, cocktail reception, or family-style
gathering, guests can expect thoughtful, delicious cuisine and warm, attentive service from start
to finish.
On the beverage side, The Wool Factory offers a range of thoughtfully curated options, including
beer from our sister brewery, Selvedge Brewing; craft cocktails; and private-label wines created
in collaboration with Virginia winemaker Joy Ting.
